After Australia secure its position into Women T20 2023 World Cup finals, People were waiting for the second semi finals between SA Vs ENG. It is scheduled on 24th Feb Cape Town. South Africa won the Toss and choose to field first.

South Africa Inning | SA Vs ENG

Opener Laura Wolvaardt 53 (4X5, 6X1) and Tazmin Brits 68 (4X6, 6X2) started in most apt way. They established 96 runs partnership, after the dismissal of first wicket Marizanne Kapp 27* (4X4) joined the crease and added another 46 runs to the score board. At the End, South Africa put the score of 164 runs on board at the expense of 4 wickets.

Australian bowler were struggling through out the inning. They tried 6 bowlers, Sophie Ecclestone took 3 wickets in her 4 overs by giving just 22 runs. Another bowler Lauren Bell took 1 wickets in her 3 overs spell by giving just 25 runs.

England Inning | SA Vs ENG

England got the target of 165 to be in finals. Opener Danni Wyatt 34 (4X6) and Sophia Dunkley 28 (4X6) started well and added 53 runs in just 5 overs. In the same over Alice Capsey dismissed on duck. They added 55 runs in the powerplay at the expense of 2 wickets. By the end of 10th over, England’s score was 84/2.

At the score of 132, Nat Sciver-Brunt were dismissed by de Klerk. She made 40 runs and hit 5 boundaries. In the next over, Amy Jones also dismissed by Ayabonga Khaka. From this point wickets were falling at the regular interval. Skipper Heather Knight made 31 (6X2) but failed to lead the team to win.

Ayabonga Khaka took 4 wickets in her 4 over spell at the expense of 29 runs. Shabnim Ismail took 3 wickets in her 4 over by giving just 27 runs. England fall 6 runs behind the target. Tazmin Brits awarded with man of the match for her 68 runs and 4 catches behind the wickets. The Finals will be played between Australia and England on 26th Feb in Cape Town.
