Virat Kohli was born in Punjabi family on 5th Nov 1988. At the age of 3 year his father saw his keen interest in cricket and decided to focus more on his grooming. He joined the WEST DELHI CRICKET ACADEMY at the age of 9 and was trained under coach Raj Kumar Sharma. In 2002, he was chosen into U-15 team and scored most numbers of runs in that year.

To add to his struggle, at the tender age of 17 years he lost his father to a brain stroke but this never stopped him and he came out more stronger. In April 2007, he was selected in interstate T20 championship and finished with most number of runs under his belt. Following his tremendous form he was appointed as captain of U-19 captain in 2008. He lead his team in the U-19 World Cup and came back home as a title winner.
Virat Kohli Debut
On August 2008, Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag both were injured and were ousted from Sri-Lankan series Virat Kohli got the opportunity to open for India but has very unglamorous start in his debut match. he scored only 12 runs. He later picked his game and scored runs followed by series win. He came into lime light when he scored 2 consecutive centuries in 2010. Virat Kohli did his test debut in 2011 under MS Dhoni captainship but his most memorable tour was the Australian 2014-15 tour.
Though India lost the series by 2-0 but Virat Kohli was the highest (692) run getter for India. He scored 115 and 141 in the very first test match but was’t able to save it for the team. He hit another couple of centuries, 169 in 3rd match and 147 in 4th match eventually helped the team to draw the match. He also hold the record of hitting most number of double-hundreads 7 as Test-Captain.

With all the on-field performances, He realized that he needs to be extra fit and fast to contribute equally in all 3 formats and in fielding as well. From 2012 he started pushing himself towards a strigent fitness regime. He included workouts like POWER-SNATCH and DEADLIFT to strengthen his back and core. He do a mix of Cardio and Compound training for explosive strength It is also said that he refrain himself from all kind of junk food and try to keep it as clean as possible. His love for butter chicken was known but he gave up to become the best in business. Seeing the outcome of clean eating he later adapted a vegetarian lifestyle.
Virat Kohli 2017-18
With off-field improvements he started making on-field records like a cake walk. he holds the record of hitting most number of centuries 11 (consecutively) in 2017 and 2018. His one of the remarkable contribution to the team was his passion to win away from sub-continent. He indoctrinated a self-belief in team from beginning of his captainship and led the team from front. With all these good and great times, he also had a tough phase of career from Dec-2019 to Aug-2022 he struggled with his form and was’t able to score a single ton. he also was asked to stepped down from captain-ship in Dec-2019.
Virat Kohli in Asia Cup 2022
He bounced back in T20 Asia Cup 2022 and hit a ton against Afghanisthan and score 122* in just 61 balls. Since then he is again on the streak of scoring and till now he already has score 3 match winning half-centuries (including his decisive innings of 82* runs against Pakistan) in T20 World Cup. Indian fans expect a similar performance from him in upcoming ODI World Cup and seeing his hunger for runs fans are assured that they will get awesome on field contribution from him.

Since Virat Kohli came back to his form and starts behaving like he use to on field. he is continuously being picked by the opponent’s Ex-players. This time Pakistan’s former pace bowler and ex-head Coach Waqar Younis allege him that Virat Kohli put pressure on umpires. To substantiate his claim he further added that when a player of stature like Virat Kohli do the gesture of asking a No-Ball, Umpires get under pressure and sometimes they succumb and go with the batsman. Ind Vs Ban | Highlights
After winning the rain interrupted match against Bangladesh by 5 runs. It is almost certain that India will play the Semi-Finals of T20 World Cup 2022. India batted first after losing the toss to Bangladesh and scored 184 runs in 20 overs. The key highlight of Indian batting was KL Rahul coming back to his form and playing up-to his skill. he scored his 50 in just 31 balls. Later Virat Kohli’s 64* and Surya Kumar Yadav’s quick 30 helped India to put mammoth target on the board.
Bangladesh in response started magnificently and scored 66 runs in just 7 overs. Liton Das played like a bowler-destroyer and scored his fifty in just 21 balls before rain stopped the game. Once the game resumed Bangladesh has to score another 84 runs in 9 overs as per the DLS. Liton Das was dismissed on a direct throw of KL Rahul when he was trying to convert a single into double. Post his dismissal Bangladesh lose wickets at regular interval. In last over they needed 20 runs to win the game but Arshdeep Singh once again did it for India. India finally won this match by 5 runs.
