Indian U-19 Women’s made history by winning the first ever Under 19 T20 World Cup. The finals of ICC Women’s U-19 T20 WC was played between Indian England. Though cricket lovers expected a power packed and interesting match. On the contrary it was a one sided match. Indian Skipper Shafali Verma won the toss and choose to field first.

England Innings | U-19 Women’s made history
Indian Skipper’s decision proved right, Opener Liberty Heap were dismissed by Archana Devi in the first over of the inning. The dismissal build the pressure on the next batsman that hamper their performance. By the end of power play England’s score was 3/22 and by the end of 10th over half of the team was sent back to the pavilion by score just 39 runs.
Only 4 of English batswoman Niamh Holland 10 (4X2), Ryana MacDonald-Gay 19 (4X3), Alexa Stonehouse 11 (4X1) and Sophia Smale 11 (4X2) were able to score in double digit. The longest partnership of 17 runs happened between Ryana MacDonald-Gay and Charis Pavley on 34 balls. The whole team was restricted at the score of mere 68 runs.
Indian bowlers played their majestically and made the Indian batsman work easy. Titas das, Archana Devi and Parshavi Chopra took 2 wickets each. Also Mannat Kshyap, Shafali Verma and Sonam Yadav got 1 wicket each. India had to score 69 runs to win the title.

Indian Innings | U-19 Women’s made history
Indian Skipper Shafali Verma started the inning in her natural way and scored quick 15 runs with the help of 1 Six and 1 Boundary. Although India lost both the openers at the score of 20 runs. The middle order kept their nerve at place and Sowmya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha established a partnership of 46 runs in 55 deliveries.
Sowmya Tiwari made 24 runs and hit 3 boundaries and Gongadi Trisha made 24 runs and she also hit 3 boundaries. India won the match and U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup by 7 wickets. Hannah Baker, Alexa Stonehouse and Grace Scivens took 1 wicket each.
Player of the Match and Series Award | U-19 Women’s made history
Titas Sadhu is awarded with Man of the Match for her magical bowling Spell. In her 4 overs she took 2 wickets at the expense of just 6 runs. She build the pressure on English team from very beginning and restrict them on nominal score.
Grace Scrivens is awarded with Player of Series for her all-round performance in whole tournament. She made 293 runs and took 9 wickets.
