After the defeat of 16 runs in 2nd T20 against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya clearly specify reasons. He was unhappy about the pacer Arshdeep Singh struggling with the NO-BALLS. he bowled 2 overs and gave 5 no-balls, with all the free-hits he gave 37 runs without any wicket. Even last match sensation Shivam Mavi struggled against the Sri Lankan batsman. He gave 53 runs with no wickets in his 4 over spell.
India won the toss but choose to field first. The cricket experts believes that the Indian skipper should have chosen the otherwise. After the match result coach Rahul Dravid backed the decision and said that one cannot always take the reference from history. Sri Lankan batsman were on the roll in the match. The openers Pathum Nissanka 33 (4X4) and Kusal Mendis (4X3, 6X4) were scoring at the run rate of 10 in first 8 overs.
Later Charith Asalanka 37 (6X4) and especially Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka 56 (4X2 , 6X6) blasted the innings. Together they added 96 runs in last 38 deliveries and 69 runs in last 4 overs. Sri Lanka put a huge score of 206 runs on the board to chase.

Although Sri Lankan batsman has it very easy, Indian batsman struggled from very start of their innings. New sensation and wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan made on 2 runs and got out in the second over. In the same over, Shubhman Gill is also dismissed by Rajitha. By the end of 2nd over, India’s core was 21/2. At the first ball of very next over, debutant Rahul Tripathi also was dismissed by Madushanka.
By beginning of 9th over, India lost its first 5 wickets at the score of 57 runs. India was struggling but T20 number 1 batsman Surya Kumar Yadav again showed his class and scored some quick runs, he scored 51 runs (4X3, 6X3). He added 91 runs in 7 overs with Axar Patel. He continued his streak of his all-round performance and completed his fifty in just 21 balls. At a moment, they both brought Indian into the game butThen Surya Kumar Yadav was dismissed by Madushanka.
Indian chances were looking bleak but last match sensation Shivam Mavi took charge with the bat and scored 26 runs (4X2, 6X2). He added 41 runs on just 22 balls with Axar Patel but once Patel was dismissed by the Shanaka. Indian chances of winning the match became grim. At last India lost the match by 16 runs. Dasun Shanaka (56* and 4/2) was awarded Man of the Match for his all round performance.
