As per BCCI sources, Team India’s star allrounder Hardik Pandya will be appointed as white ball cricket very soon. BCCI has made their mind and they also have discussed about the offer to Hardik Pandya. In response Hardik Pandya has asked for some time. As per BCCI undisclosed plan, Hardik would be leading the team in T20 and ODI as well. If this comes true he will be leading the Team India in upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 scheduled in India.
Team India is going through a big debate over the future captaincy especially in white ball cricket. As per BCCI sources, Rohit Sharma would be asked to step down from limited over captaincy task but would remain the Test team captain. Rohit Sharma’s team was struggling to win the big titles. Asia Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup performances raised some alarm. It was time September when speculation started of BCCI looking for new white ball captain for team.
After the below par performances, BCCI also saw some changes in their Apex body. Whole selection committee was dismissed and new appointments were proposed. Similar Changes was assumed to happen in the Captainship. he final decision would be made and announced only after the new selection committee assume their office.

Hardik Pandya captained the team in 5 T20s
Earlier Hardik Pandya has handled the captain’s responsibility in 5 T20 match. 4 out of which Team India won. He also appointed as the Captain of new IPL Franchise Gujarat Titans and to everyones surprise, lead the team to win the title in its debut season.
