After a successful series against a SRI-LANKA, India is now eyeing for series against New Zealand. 1st day night match would be played on 18th Jan Hyderabad. The most asked question before the match was “if Ishan Kishan is going to be the part of playing 11 or not ?“. All the rumors were settled down in a pre match conference where Indian skipper confirmed that Ishan Kishan will not open against NZ.
In the series against Sri Lanka Indian skipper categorically said that Shubhman Gill will be his partner to open the innings. Fans are now expecting to see Ishan Kishan in the series against New Zealand.

Though he was part of series against the Sri-Lanka but didn’t got the chance in playing 11. After his classic innings of 210 runs against Bangladesh his fans were expecting more such innings. But he was unlucky to get the chance against SL. As per some news sources, KL Rahul will be given rest in upcoming series as he asked for an off for his marriage and Axar Patel is also given rest to test the few more players such as Washington Sunder.

Besides Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Rajat Patidar, Srikar Bharat, Shahbaz Ahmed are the new additions for this series. In a pre match conference, Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma said that “Ishan Kishan will play in middle order. I’m glad he could get a run here after that fine knock in Bangladesh“. Till now Ishan Kishan has played 10 ODI and he has batted in the middle order earlier.
